This Saint spent a night in our home

So, Fr. Harvey would spend the Easter Tridium with the Visitation Sisters at their Convent in Frederick, Maryland, where my husband and I met him.

We could tell he was quite tired, so I asked him if I could speak to him for just a few minutes. Well, he would not let me go....he kept me talking for a good 10-15 minutes. The following year he did the same......

One year, Fr. Harvey needed a place to stay because the Convent was closing.

Fr. Harvey spent the night with us....and we realized we had a saint staying in our home. We encouraged him to go to bed, but no, he sat in my husband’s chair and fell asleep in the middle of a sentence! He came down the steps the next morning with his hat and coat on. I was caught off-guard because he looked like my Grandfather Quandt with his slight build and that hat! I tried to remind him gently that he was staying for lunch. How often have I thought of him in our home....a saint...and everyday I ask his prayers for all of you......as I gently remind him that he stayed with us for one short night. He had things to do, places to go.....and he continues to have things to do and prayers to pray....and I know all of you count on his intercession every day.
