Nothing is there! An answer to prayer

I wanted to share a story about a grace received through the intercession of Father John Harvey and Our Lady of Fatima!

Beginning last December I had an endometrial cancer scare.  There was an ultrasound showing something measuring 9mm (5mm thicker than normal).  The first biopsy would be benign (praise God).  A couple months later, I would have similar symptoms.  At that point, my doctor scheduled me for a second ultrasound. Those results were 1.82cm.  Whatever was there had doubled in size.

An Endoscopic surgery was scheduled for August. Earlier in the summer I had the blessing of a pilgrimage to Fatima and Avila.  I had done my best to surrender and accept whatever Our Lord had planned; even if it meant fighting cancer, after all.

In Fatima, I asked Our Lady that, through the intercession of Father John Harvey, that there would be nothing there when the Endoscopy was done. I specifically used that word; nothing. "Blessed Mother, through the intercession of Father John Harvey, may there be nothing there." I thanked them both for hearing my prayer. A few days later, I would ask again and also include Sister Lucia (the Fatima seer). I had asked my friend if it's OK to add on to an intention. ;o) She said it’s OK.

On August 13th, that surgery was done.  When I woke up from anesthesia, I asked the surgeon what was found. She told me, "Oh, nothing was there."  Nothing.  That exact word! No polyps, no tumors, no growths. There wasn't even evidence of a thickening or anything unusual. She even showed me pictures. Nothing is there!

The details: Over 6 months something doubled in size. 2 ultrasounds, in 2 different clinics, on 2 different machines. Taken by 2 different technicians and interpreted by 2 different doctors.   I had asked only a couple of people to pray for me, but only I asked for Father John Harvey’s intercession.

While this may not fit the technical criteria for a medical miracle in the Church's eyes, it is a miracle to me nonetheless. There are possible explanations, although none of them fit my case. I know it was Our Lady and Father John Harvey. He is in the Communion of Saints!

Father John Harvey, please continue to pray for our loved ones; that they may come to see that the only identity that matters is that they are His beloved children.
